Safe and fair play

Age of the Bible is played by children, teens, parents and churches. These rules keep it a good place for all of them.

Be kind

Speak to others as you would like to be spoken to. No insults, hate, bullying or threats. No jokes about a person’s body, faith, family, country or skin. The biblical peoples in the game are ancient peoples of the text; never use them to attack anyone alive today.

Keep it safe

Never ask for or share a real name, address, school, phone, social network, photo or where someone is. The game does not allow pictures, voice, links or direct messages in chat, and we will remove attempts to get around that. No sexual content of any kind. No talk of drugs, self-harm or violence in the real world. If someone makes you uncomfortable, stop, report and tell a parent.

Play fair

One person, one account. No bots, scripts, cheating, selling or trading accounts, or taking advantage of a bug (report it instead). Rankings count only what is won against the enemies of the text; nobody can buy a place in them.

Names and words

Chief, house and clan names are checked by a filter in Portuguese, English and Spanish, including tricks like swapping letters for numbers. A name cannot be the name of God alone, the name of the game or of its team, or someone else’s. Praise with His name inside is welcome (“Servants of the Lord”). We may force a change at any time.

Reporting

Every message and every house card has a Report button. A report goes to our team; we look at it, act when the rules were broken, and tell the person who reported what we did. Reporting is private: the other person is not told who reported. You can also block or silence anyone. A parent can write to contact@ageofthebible.com at any time.

What happens next

We take the smallest step that fixes the problem: remove the message or name, a warning, silencing the player in chat for a time, taking a player out of a clan, and for serious or repeated breaking of the rules, closing the account. Anything that puts a child in danger is removed straight away and, when the law asks, sent to the authorities.

If you disagree

Write to contact@ageofthebible.com and tell us which account and what happened. A person on our team who was not part of the first decision reads it. We answer within 15 days.
