He went down from Tabor
Barak
Coming in a later age
Barak led Israel’s army in the days of Deborah the judge.
The story
Deborah gave Barak the command of the Lord: call ten thousand men from Naphtali and Zebulun.
On the day of battle she told him the Lord was marching ahead of him, and Barak led his warriors down from Mount Tabor.
“One day she sent for Barak son of Abinoam, who lived in Kedesh in the land of Naphtali. She said to him, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, commands you: Call out 10,000 warriors from the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun at Mount Tabor.”Judges 4:6 NLT
“Then Deborah said to Barak, “Get ready! This is the day the Lord will give you victory over Sisera, for the Lord is marching ahead of you.” So Barak led his 10,000 warriors down the slopes of Mount Tabor into battle.”Judges 4:14 NLT
“How much more do I need to say? It would take too long to recount the stories of the faith of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets.”Hebrews 11:32 NLT
