The hill country
The Perizzites
In the story of the land
The Perizzites lived in the hill country of Canaan, in the days of Abram and Lot.
The story
When Abram’s and Lot’s herdsmen argued, the Canaanites and Perizzites were also living in the land.
Joshua told the tribes of Joseph to clear land in the forest where the Perizzites lived.
“So disputes broke out between the herdsmen of Abram and Lot. (At that time Canaanites and Perizzites were also living in the land.)”Genesis 13:7 NLT
“Afterward Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, “You have ruined me! You’ve made me stink among all the people of this land—among all the Canaanites and Perizzites. We are so few that they will join forces and crush us. I will be ruined, and my entire household will be wiped out!””Genesis 34:30 NLT
“Joshua replied, “If there are so many of you, and if the hill country of Ephraim is not large enough for you, clear out land for yourselves in the forest where the Perizzites and Rephaites live.””Joshua 17:15 NLT
